Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive at Chennai
On reaching Chennai Airport/Railway Station, you will receive a warm welcome by our tour representative. Transfer to hotel and refresh yourself. Take rest until the next fine monring.
Day 2: Chennai City Tour
Today, we will offer you the charm of city tour in Chennai. Get in around the famous Fort St. George, built in 1640, during the British regime in India. Also, explore the architecture beauty of Shri Kapaleeswar temple and Parthasarathi Temple. After lunch enjoy a beach walk in the world's 2nd longest Marina beach. Back to hotel-room and take a sound sleep, tonight.
Day 3: Chennai- Kanchipuram Early morning, take a drive to Kanchipuram, situated 75 kms away from Chennai. On reaching, check it at the hotel and freshen up. Visit the revered Kamakshi Amman Temple, one of the rare shrines dedicated to Goddess Shakti. If time permits, make a visit to the 8th century old Kailashanathar temple. Post lunch period will follow shopping in popular shops at Kanchipuram. Buy some great collection of Kancheepuram sarees and handloom products. Back to hotel and stay overnight.
Day 4: Kanchipuram- Mahabalipuram This morning, drive to Mahabalipuram, located 65 kms away from Kanchipuram. Refresh yourself in the hotel-room and get set to enjoy a trip to Arjuna's Panance, a gigantic bas-relief designed meticulously with carvings of elephants, monkeys etc. Also, have a close glimpse of the Krishna Mandapa, located nearby. After completion, back to hotel and stay overnight.
Day 5: Mahabalipuram Sightseeing Our South India tour package has lot to offer in Mahabalipuram. This morning, visit the Varaha cave, which consists of a rock-cut mandapam(hall), incarnations of Vishnu, Varaha and Vamana. Halt here for an hour and proceed for adventure activities, such as bike trip, boat rides, angling and wind surfing. Back to hotel and stay overnight.
Day 6: Mahabalipuram/ Chennai(Madras) / Departure South India tour ends up. This morning, after breakfast, we will escort you to Chennai International Airport and will help you catch flight for onward destination.
