A small but picturesque hill town – that is Coonoor in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Primarily a tea town, Coonoor was initially inhabited by the Todo tribe but it shot into fame only in the 19th century when the Britishers discovered it. Developed way back in 1874, the park spread across 12 acres and houses unusual floral species from around the world. Sim's park is the perfect place for botany lovers to spend some quailty time.

» Catherine Falls:
Cascading down from 250 feet, Catherine Falls lends a charismatic view to the area that surrounds Coonoor. The complete view of the Fall can be enjoyed from the Dolphin Nose. Alternatively, you can also take a road to the top of the falls to experience its magnificence closely.

» Dolphin's Nose:
The Dolphin's Nose that offers incredible views of the Catherine Falls is also amongst the top Coonoor Tourist Places. It is basically a rock formation in the shape of a dolphin's nose. From here, you can also catch a glimpse of the Coonoor stream flowing into the Kotagiri stream.

» Lamb's Rock:
Enroute the Dolphin's Nose, there is yet another of beautiful Coonoor attractions. Named after the man who discovered it, the Lamb's Rock is a cliff that offers fantastic views of the dense jungle below. Views of the Coonoor stream can also be enjoyed from here.

» Hidden Valley:
On your Coonoor travel is incomplete till the time you undertake a trekking tour to the hidden valley. Passing through green landscape surrounded by towering mountains, you reach the valley that offers awesome glimpses of the natural beauty of Coonoor.
